Special Thanks

As mentioned previously, my first glass beads were from my dearest friend Chrissie, who was tragically killed in a car accident, long before her time - I still miss her so.  These are those beads - not particularly stunning or valuable, but to a me as a teenager they were "diamonds, dreams and seeds", and I treasure them still.

These are some other beads in my collection:

Davide Penso's Tartaruga (turtle) bead - Venice 2003
These SO intrigued me, and now I can make them!!!

Stunning Foiled Hearts - Venice 2003
I must get the mould!

Corina Tettinger's magnificent wild goat bead
Thanks for a wonderful 2 day workshop and for your generous sharing of techniques and skills.

Taära - Desert Bug Designs
These beads amazed me with their smallness and detail.

Tink Martin

Magnificent vessels

Anastasia

Beautiful beads from Germany

Lavender Creek

Beautiful godess bead by Teresa Laliberte

Beads  from  the  2008  ISGB  Gathering
  • now there are a few here, but bearing in mind that there wer over 120 artists selling, I was really quite restrained!

Kerri Fuhr

A lovely lady, and very talented too - this would have to be my favourite bead from the Gathering.  Could be that I love crows, ravens and currawongs and have their call as the ring tone on my mobile, or could be the glorious contrast between the matt background and the glossy bird and berry, that seem to suggest snow and winter,...  Whatever the reason, it's a magical bead!

JC Herrell

A young lass that makes enamels dance!

Wayne Robbins

Wayne's beads are AWESOME.  Some sort of magnetic force kept pulling me back to Wayne's stand.  I first saw his monkeys at the "out-of -the-box" exhibition, but the frog won on the day.  However, come the auction in the evening, a monkey also headed back to Oz!

Naomi Kazawa

A perfect Amago bead that traveled across the Pacific from Japan to Oakland only to cross the Pacific back to Oz.

Holly Cooper

Holly calls these batik beads, but to me they are reminiscent of Moorish designs.

James Daschbach

Beautiful beads & rings

Ronit Dagan

Ronit is just the loveliest lady and an extremely talented lampwork artist and jewelry designer.  It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with Ronit, and I look forward to catching up again in the future.

Toni Lutman

Beautiful beads!
